The word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double edge sword it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit.

Faith to Heal

Looking at various scripture we learn that faith plays a major role in healing and that faith is a gift from God that we should be asking for.

Dave dismisses some of the misconceptions of why healings don’t always happen when we pray and uses passages from the New Testament that encourage us to be persistent and that God always hears the cry from our hearts as we call on Him.

Identity

Following from Holly starting our serious looking at Identity, Dave this week teaches from the Parable of the Good Father (more commonly known as the parable of the Prodigal Son). There is so much to learn about our identity from this story in Luke 15 and more importantly how our Heavenly Father views us. Once we accept our identity in Him our worldly outlook should change. We are co-heirs with Jesus Christ and reading also from Romans 8 we learn so much about what this means.

Building the house of the Lord

In this talk Holly begins by teaching on our identity as children of Gog by looking at Romans 8.  Then, halfway through she is ‘persuaded’ by God to throw away her notes and speaks about a fresh revelation God is giving her from Haggai about building the House of the Lord.

Practical Family

Last week the ground work was laid for the vision of family at Kingdom Life. This week Holly used scriptures from Ephesians & Proverbs to show us the practicalities of how we should live as family. We should not speak badly of each other, we should not grieve the Holy Spirit we should rid ourselves of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

We should however be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave us.

Family

Today our Senior Leadership Team lay out their vision for what it means to be Family at Kingdom Life. Included in this presentation are how we involve our kids and their workers more, how worship will look in the future as well as how we should interact with each other.

Pentecost

Pentecost is a wonderful time to remind ourselves of when the Holy Spirit came on the believers in ‘tongues of fire’ and how the believers spoke in languages to all those present. Looking at Acts 2 we see see how the Holy Spirit is a real person just as Jesus is the Son of God and how God is our Holy Father.

We see how Peter, who had denied knowing Christ, was emboldened to stand and speak to the gathered crowds in power given by the Holy Spirit.

Deon Ruiters

Entering into God’s Presence

Preaching from his heart Deon shares the meaning of entering into the Presence of God. How everything we do should be in the Father’s presence no matter how big or small our circumstances are and no matter how ‘important’ the world sees us, it’s all about Him.

When life gets tough, we need to put ourselves in the presence of our heavenly Father.

Numbest 17 8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

Dave teaches this morning the importance of coming to the tabernacle and allowing God to bering forth life into our situation. Aaron’s rod was dead and yet over night God bought life to it and it budded and also God blessed abundantly with almonds.

The Holy Ghost meets us in our situation and shows us the way. Each of us is clay in the potter’s hand and we need to allow Him to mould us into the person He wants use to be.
